Queer Journeys (Zine)

Project supported by Journeys Festival International & Homotopia Festival.

Queer Journeys is a series of zine-making workshops aimed at LGBTQ+ migrants based in the UK, illustrating queer migrant journeys to create a collaborative zine. The aim of the project is to create a safe and inclusive space for queer stories to exist and to be initiated by their narrators, preserving authenticity and rawness while raising awareness on queer immigration. Each workshop covered a certain theme that deconstructed notions of borders, nostalgia, visibility and resistance. This process also intends to create a queer space for migrants while developing artistic responses and engaging in creative collaborations.
